olsen family

I met up with the Olsen family during magic hour on Wednesday night and we had a blast. I am not going to write much about it because the pictures tell it all. Skye was here from California visiting her dad and step mom, mom and I went to high school together, Sage is a typical 4 year old full of energy, and little Stella is adorable with gorgeous eyes. I had a hard time picking once again so this is supersized.

Finally I got this sneak peek up, it has been a very busy week as we prepare for my return to work on Friday as the school year approaches. I posted a teaser on FB earlier this week and just haven't had time to get to this post. Baby Noah came exactly 4 weeks early. We did his momma's belly shots only a few days before he arrived. I have a feeling he is going to be a go getter! He came to visit me at just 11 days old and was an angel. He slept most of the time, and was only a little fussy when it came toward the end. He is such a cutie pie and soooo little! I forget how little they are :) His mommy and daddy love the Nebraska Cornhuskers so we got a few shots in game day apparel and added an adorable knit hat thanks to Michelle Johnson with MJhomeproductions. family fun

This is a photoshoot that I look forward to every year! Jake and Gina make it so easy, they always come in a great color theme and we all have a lot of fun. We make this a semi dual session in getting Jake with the girls and Gina with girls all in one shot instead of two separate photosessions, which makes it super easy and enjoyable for all of us. Olivia is in Karson's class at school and I can't believe they are about to be 2nd graders, I remember the day she was born! Sophia has grown into such a wonderful young lady and entering the 4th grade this fall, again, I remember the day she was born! Time is flying for these two families, and I love documenting it for them!

what to wear?

Fall/winter photo sessions are right around the corner and I often get asked..."what do we wear." I have referred several of you to the blog where I have past shoots posted and also tell you to go with a general color theme, but not all the same solid shirts. austin

High School Seniors are so fun to photograph. They are a nice change of pace. An old friend from grade school gave me a call and told me that her oldest was graduating in 2011-2012 and they needed senior pictures. My first thought was, am I old enough for my friends to have children graduating high school? The answer of course is yes! My second thought was what could we do that was going to be alittle different? Austin came to me with some excellent ideas! He loves the James Dean look, so we went to downtown and scoped it out, we found some great areas to get the look he was going for. There are so many great pictures that his mom is going to have a very tough time picking them out! Thanks for the great time Austin, I enjoyed the change in my routine!

Tate and Mosley

We went on a vacation up to South Dakota last week, and it was a wonderful opportunity to see one of my closest friends in Gillette, Wy. I don't think I would choose Gillette for a vacation spot normally, but being that Nicole and Travis are there and they just recently had a baby boy, it was the perfect way to split up the vacation and I actually enjoyed Gillette :) Nikki asked me to try to take a picture with her beautiful Lab, Mosley and baby Tate while I was there. This was not an easy fete, the two most unpredictable things to photograph, a 4 week old and a dog. We ended up getting a couple of pictures after trying for 2 days. They really are sweet pictures!

Champions

My son played machine pitch baseball with his Eaton school friends this year and once again they won the division championship. Last year the same group of boys won the 6 year old division and this year it was the 7 year old division. They went undefeated for the season and won big most games. After they won the championship, the Eaton High School Legion B baseball team honored each player on the field the following night. Here is a favorite picture I took of the boys lined up by number singing the national anthem. What an honor!
