7 weeks to go

My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are expecting their first child in 7 weeks. This is the first time I have gotten to photograph a couple who doesn't know whether they are having a boy or a girl. It is so exciting to spectulate the gender and take your best guess. Nearly everyone in our family thinks it is going to be a boy, but my little girl Kyndal is dead set on it being a girl. I guess we will soon see.

I had so much fun taking pictures of Joe and Crista, they are naturals in front of the camera and so at ease. Most of the time it was almost like I wasn't even there and they were just being themselves. Their pictures truly reflect that too! They are so much in love, as you will see, and they are so in love with their soon to be child too. Warning, there are lots of pictures here. Enjoy your sneak peek Joe and Crista.

Disneyland

We spent our Spring Break at Disneyland and the beach. Disneyland is truly the most magical place on earth and the kids had such a good time. I took over 600 pictures while I was there, but thought I would share a handful with you. The pictures that have me in them were taken by my sister in law or by my husband all the other ones were done by me. I love how fun and magical the pictures are! Definitely will remember this trip forever :)

Uncle Kirk

My brother has been here visiting from Chicago for about 2 weeks. He had not yet met our new neice Jayda and he hadn't been here to visit for quite awhile. Uncle Kirk is like a ride at Disneyland.....my kids wait for what seems like forever to see him, they get so excited when they know he is coming to visit, they have a great time with him when he is here, then all too quickly it comes to an end and it is time for him to go back home. Before he left, I really wanted to get some pictures of my neice and my children with Uncle Kirk. He doesn't have a family yet, so we are his family and as you will see in the pictures he LOVES his neices and nephew.

SNOW DAY!

Colorado got pounded last night by lots of heavy wet snow, just one day after a near 70 degree day (only in Colorado :)) We ended up with about 9 inches here in Greeley and because of the way it was coming down we were granted another snow day! We have had 2 snow days already this year, and I am anticipating this to be our last. The snow ended up stopping around 6 am and the storm cleared to pretty wet roads and truthfully the kids and myself probably could have gone to school, especially since as I am posting this the temperature outside is near 50 degrees. Nevertheless, the kids and I had a snow day, a great day to get us ready for our trip to Disneyland in a few days and a great day to play in the snow, here are a couple of pics of the kiddos building a snowman and just playing with each other.

No matter what I tell her, she is always eating the snow!

He is always eating the snow too!

Even though they fight occasionally, they truly love each other and are great friends!

Saturdays with my princess

Kyndal is 2 1/2 going on 12 and today it was so fun to watch her entertain herself. It is rare that we have a Saturday where we don't have anything planned and it is more rare these days for me to get my camera out and just photograph the kids. Today my lens was focused on Kyndal. She loves the camera and loves to have her picture taken. I was amazed at how many things she will do in period of 2 hours and decided to document her in this lazy Saturday post. She tried to interrupt her brother and dad's nap, cut paper, painted, helped me cook and posed for the camera! She is something else that is for sure! I love her to pieces and more than anything I love her personality, even if it sends me near the edge sometimes. I am also in love with her eyes, which you will see are so full of character, personality and mischief!
