The A-Family

I just love the A-family! Again this is a set of family friends that we don't see enough! They live in Parker which is quite a ways from us, but when we do get to see each other it is always a great visit! R and T have an adorable little girl in Miss M. She came ready for pictures, mom had her prepped, it was going to be a day full of smiles........then the wind picked up and the cold front moved in.....we tried for some big smiles, but only a few were revealed during our session. Miss M kept telling me it was "cold, Ms. Kris", but you know me, I just kept shooting! We did get some great pics despite the cold and the lack of smiles. We even got some great pics of little Miss M outright giggling :)

Beautiful Eyes

Wow, it has been awhile since I blogged, and over a week since I did photo shoots. Andrew and I took a nice trip to Boston for a week while I attended a PT conference and then we saw the sites, it was a much needed getaway, especially because when I got back we had the holiday festivities packed in with 6 shoots from Friday to tomorrow. Everyone is wanting to get their pictures done for Christmas Cards! I would post pictures of Boston, but would you believe that I forgot to pack my camera, I know, shocking!

Well, back to this photo shoot. I was referred to J from a friend who had a recent photo shoot and she and her daughter L were so gracious to meet me and a few other clients in Denver's Wash Park for a photo shoot. Wash park is beautiful any time of year and I truly can't wait to shoot there this summer, but because most of the leaves are off the trees now in CO, we took advantage of the lake and some of the evergreen trees. Little L has the most beautiful red hair and the most gorgeous eyes. She was not really ready to smile on command today, but when you see the pictures you will see that we were able to get a few smiles and some great shots.

Dog and Cat Make 4

My friend K who I work with in the schools was one of my first photo subjects when I started the business. She had a Christmas card made by me last year with her photos and she got an amazing amount of compliments on them.......so.........she asked me to do her family pictures again this year and a card. K and C's family consists of Cricket their new lab puppy and their cat Lucky, we joked that last year it was just them with the kitty and now this year they have added to their crew with a new puppy. C said we expand by one every year......and that is so true because K is expecting her first baby in June :) So next year I will photographing this family of "5", can't wait. Here are some of their shots with their pets and a couple alone just for fun!

Little Miss K and the J-man

Yesterday was a fun day in that 2 of our family friends came to Greeley for a party that we all attended. Since they were here, I was able to photograph Little Miss K for her 5th birthday pictures. She loves the camera and is a great model for me! You will remember her from some pics I took this summer of her. She is growing up to be quite the little lady, and I love to take her pictures. We also got a few of her with J-man in their holiday outfits. J is not a fan of the camera and there were quite a few that acknowledged that, but we ended up getting a couple of the two of them together that are worthy of a "naughty" or "nice" holiday card!

The M-family

On Friday evening I had the chance to meet up with the M-Family and their little boy J. Colorado was expected to get snow in the afternoon and I was crossing my fingers that it would pass over Greeley, no such luck. An hour or so before our shoot it started raining/snowing and as we met to do the shoot it seems like it really started to come down. Not only that, but it was starting to get dark faster because of the storm. The M-family came from south Denver, so we thought we better try for some shots. Little J got pretty cold quickly, so we took what we had and met up again this morning to finish off the shoot. As you see the progression you will see some pictures of a not so smiley boy in snow/rain and then pictures of a very happy little boy the next day. Little J is so adorable and has the cutest personality. He is very serious, but if you get him and the right moment he can be super smiley! It was also very nice to see the M-family, who I have been friends with for awhile, but rarely get to see. L and K enjoy your sneak peek.

Could she be any cuter?

On Sunday, I got to see another 7 month old and her family for pictures. At the place that I work, there were 4 ladies who had babies around the same time, I have had the opportunity to photograph 3 of the 4 babies and it is so great to see how much they have all grown since they were born. All 4 babies were girls, and all are beautiful. Look at little Miss K, she is so cute and has the most beautiful blue eyes. She did not come to me with her best smiles, but we caught a few and we still got some good pics without her smile. I also caught the family for a few family shots. Enjoy!
