Cake Smash!

I love baby R. I haven't photographed her since she was 4 months old, and now she is 1 year old. She celebrated her 1st birthday last weekend and today we did a cake smash with her. It was my first cake smash and all in all I think it went fairly well. Baby R was awfully nice to the cake and did not get super dirty or maul into it, but she gave it a good effort. She was not about smiling with me today, not sure what it is about me with that big black box, but she doesn't like it too much, none the less, we still got some cute pics of her in her tutu that mom made and a collage of the cake smash.

Update on the Chadwick Family

Well, Christmas time is fast approaching and it seems like each week gets faster and faster. I have been extremely busy taking family pictures for people all fall and continue to get at least 2-3 phone calls per week asking if I can squeeze in something for Christmas Cards. Because I have been so busy I have had nearly NO time to take pictures of my own family and my favorite past time hobby of digitally scrapbooking has gone by the wayside. The kids have noticed that the last layout in their book was from June, UGH! never been this far behind :0 So anyway, I thought I would just post a few pics from the last few days to share with you how my 2 little ones are growing. Most of pics have Kyndal in them because she is the only one who wants her pics taken right now. Karson is 6 now and a full time kindergartener and Kyndal is 2 1/2 and getting ready to start preschool after the first of the year! I also am adding a picture of my Christmas Tree, just because I LOVE this time of year!

Bitter Cold!

Yesterday I had a few shots out in the cold Colorado weather, we lucked out in that it was the warmest day of the week, but I am not sure it got much about 36 degrees, but the families I photographed were brave and bared the cold and snow with me. Here is the S-family. This is the first time I have met them, but you will see from their pics that they are a GORGEOUS family and so photogenic. I loved that they wore red for the holiday spirit! We had a fun time and were able to tease a few good smiles out of dad while we shot pictures. Enjoy!

A little bit of everything

Over the holiday weekend, I did 6 photo shoots! I have been busy editing and am almost done with all of the them, not too bad considering it is only Wed. I would love to blog about each and every one, I have already blogged on a few, but I thought I would post a couple from the ones I haven't blogged on yet (3 amazing families), just to share.

The A-Family

I just love the A-family! Again this is a set of family friends that we don't see enough! They live in Parker which is quite a ways from us, but when we do get to see each other it is always a great visit! R and T have an adorable little girl in Miss M. She came ready for pictures, mom had her prepped, it was going to be a day full of smiles........then the wind picked up and the cold front moved in.....we tried for some big smiles, but only a few were revealed during our session. Miss M kept telling me it was "cold, Ms. Kris", but you know me, I just kept shooting! We did get some great pics despite the cold and the lack of smiles. We even got some great pics of little Miss M outright giggling :)

Beautiful Eyes

Wow, it has been awhile since I blogged, and over a week since I did photo shoots. Andrew and I took a nice trip to Boston for a week while I attended a PT conference and then we saw the sites, it was a much needed getaway, especially because when I got back we had the holiday festivities packed in with 6 shoots from Friday to tomorrow. Everyone is wanting to get their pictures done for Christmas Cards! I would post pictures of Boston, but would you believe that I forgot to pack my camera, I know, shocking!

Well, back to this photo shoot. I was referred to J from a friend who had a recent photo shoot and she and her daughter L were so gracious to meet me and a few other clients in Denver's Wash Park for a photo shoot. Wash park is beautiful any time of year and I truly can't wait to shoot there this summer, but because most of the leaves are off the trees now in CO, we took advantage of the lake and some of the evergreen trees. Little L has the most beautiful red hair and the most gorgeous eyes. She was not really ready to smile on command today, but when you see the pictures you will see that we were able to get a few smiles and some great shots.
