My Princess

Last week, my Kyndal Grace turned 3 years old. It seems like just yesterday that she was born and we brought her home for the first time, yet there are times when it feels like she has been with us forever! She and I both have been waiting for 3 for awhile, it felt like she was 2 forever, I don't know if it is because she acts so much older than she is, or because we went through so much with her health in the past 3 years that sometimes it seems like she has been with us for so long. Her health is great, she is in the 75th percentile in height and weight now, which is 100%+ improvement then before she had her heart surgery. She is bubbly, sassy, funny, cute and so verbal that you sometimes would swear she is 3 going on her teen years. Today we did her 3 year birthday pictures and it was like pulling teeth to get these, but she again proves that she loves the camera!

Baby Jack

My newest nephew was born yesterday to my brother in law and sister in law. He was a big baby 10 pounds 4 ounces and such a cutie!!! I had some fun with the video today after I was able to take a few snapshots right after we got the chance to meet him. I am not great with video, but had a fun time creating it.

Evan

On Saturday when I was shooting at Wash Park I was able to meet up with 10 week old Evan. His mommy and daddy are good friends of my sister and came all the way from Colorado Springs to have their pictures taken. The wind was horrible which made Evan a little fussy, but he really held up well and gave us some good pics. A very good friend of mine lives in Wash Park and loaned us her home after the wind was too much for the baby to handle. In the end, we got some great shots. Hope you enjoy your pics J and M. 100th Post

This post is my 100th post since starting Kris Chadwick Photography. That means that I have had at least 100 sessions since beginning although, not all sessions were posted. I can't believe how far this business has come and what loyal families I have gotten to see grow. One of those families is the Spielmann family, I photographed them before (here). They have wonderful kids and are always fun to photograph. We did the photoshoot at Washington Park in Denver this time and got some great pictures despite the horrible wind. Here are just a few of my favs. (Warning there are a lot of pictures here!)

Birthday Present

Karson's old preschool teacher, J, got a great birthday present from her mother -in-law, a family photoshoot from me :) I was so excited to do this shoot, the lighting was going to be perfect (even though the weather was turning) and this time of year is just beautiful at the local parks. The G-family came with Archie their dog and their beautiful smiles for a great family shoot. We had tons of fun and the kids are so photogenic. Hope you enjoy the results of your birthday present J.

Baby Makes Three

My co-worker and friend is about to have a baby in 4 weeks, and she looks AMAZING!!! She is glowing and you have to get pretty close to even tell she is pregnant. When we were taking pictures, I even had to have her stick her belly out just to make sure we accentuated the baby belly! C & K (here) are first time parents and so excited to meet their little girl, I feel so honored to be asked to do some pregnancy shots for her! I am hoping I will get to take pictures of their little girl in the future too. K had some great posing ideas and since she is a yoga instructor on the side she wanted to get in a few yoga poses too! The ideas were great and just added more depth to her pregnancy photos. Warning: There are a lot of photos here to look at because I just couldn't choose a favorite.
