Birthday Present

Karson's old preschool teacher, J, got a great birthday present from her mother -in-law, a family photoshoot from me :) I was so excited to do this shoot, the lighting was going to be perfect (even though the weather was turning) and this time of year is just beautiful at the local parks. The G-family came with Archie their dog and their beautiful smiles for a great family shoot. We had tons of fun and the kids are so photogenic. Hope you enjoy the results of your birthday present J.

Baby Makes Three

My co-worker and friend is about to have a baby in 4 weeks, and she looks AMAZING!!! She is glowing and you have to get pretty close to even tell she is pregnant. When we were taking pictures, I even had to have her stick her belly out just to make sure we accentuated the baby belly! C & K (here) are first time parents and so excited to meet their little girl, I feel so honored to be asked to do some pregnancy shots for her! I am hoping I will get to take pictures of their little girl in the future too. K had some great posing ideas and since she is a yoga instructor on the side she wanted to get in a few yoga poses too! The ideas were great and just added more depth to her pregnancy photos. Warning: There are a lot of photos here to look at because I just couldn't choose a favorite.

Spring is in the air

I got the chance to photograph some old friends and their daughters last weekend. G was a bridesmaid in my wedding and it has been so great to remain friends and watch our children grow. J and G's youngest daughter is in the same grade as my son, at the same school. It is always nice to have old friends around and even nicer to have your children grow up together. Spring is definitely in the air here in CO and we were able to catch some great flowering trees. Here are some sneak peeks.

G-family take 2

I just love this family! We met last year through a mutual friend and when I did their pictures the first time, little H was only 4 weeks old! She is going to be 1 year old next month and it is amazing how much she has grown! The weather was cold this weekend and we had off and on rain/snow mix, but this family braved the cold and we were able to get some adorable shots! I even get to meet up with the kiddos again on Thursday for some indoor shots, can't wait. Jayda 3 months

I just love to photograph my niece, she has the most beautiful eyes and every time I see her she has changed just a little bit more. Jayda is 3 months old already and is growing like a weed. She is super strong, rolls over already, holds her head up and is smiling all the time. We got her in the studio today and photographed her and she was such a good sport. I wanted to do some extra pictures with my kids too for some mother's day gifts and she was fine with all of the tousling around we did with her. In some of the pictures she is wearing a "J" shirt from Star Creek Creations (my friend Janae has started that over at ETSY, check it out) which I think is just so adorable on both her and my daughter. Kyndal and Jayda could pass as sisters, and they love each other like sisters too! Enjoy my favs from our session.
